It was a truly humbling and inspiring experience to have Charles “Spider” Jones speak to our clients about his life journey after prison.

His words resonated deeply as he shared the challenges he faced and the lack of opportunities he encountered upon his release. Spider expressed a heartfelt desire for our clients to recognize the immense possibilities they have through our program, opportunities he wished he had in his own life. He passionately conveyed the message that hard work and perseverance lead to significant rewards, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and community giving once success is achieved.

His powerful narrative about his time in prison served as a stark reminder of the importance of making positive choices. One of the fundamental tenets of our teachings at ORA-STDP is that the world is not fair, and one should never expect it to be so.
